I think this chestnut vendor in Salzburg has a very good business. He has his stall right in front of a famous building where a famous man was born in 1756.

As we changed from summer time to winter time this weekend it was not so difficult to get up Sunday morning to ride about 3 hours by train to spend a beautiful day in Salzburg.

Lolland

Last weekend I visited my mother in law who lives on Denmark's forth largest island, Lolland, also known as "pancake island" because it is so flat.

I'm now back in Vienna with no travels planned until September :)

24 hours in Sta. Cruz de Tenerife gave me the impression of a charming mixture of an old, new and colorful city.

Back in Vienna

I'm back from a wonderful sailing holiday. We started out from Las Palmas de G. Canaria to Santa Cruz de Tenerife and then San Sebastian de la Gomera. We only stayed about 24 hours in la Gomera, which I had looked forward to exploring, but the weather forecast was indicating that it was better idea to head back to Las Palmas again where we spent some windy days relaxing.

A day in Gibraltar

I wrote in my post Friday that we didn't get out much while in Málaga. One day was, however, spent in Gibraltar, a couple of hours drive from where we live.

Back in Málaga

The past week I have been away sailing ...


It was not stormy, but we did have some rain and thunder showers


The sky was beautiful ... and so is the island Cabrera - Parque Nacional del Archipiélago de Cabrera

Unattended luggage

Some poor traveller did not get his suitcase together with his co-travellers on arrival, I guess.


When in an airport it is announced with regular intervals not to leave your luggage unattended.
I had been looking at that suitcase for more than an hour when it was finally collected by some airport staff!
