Corner view Málaga: Street fashion

I don't think you can call Málaga a fashion centre. Here are so many different people of so many different nationalities, backgrounds and ages. A lot of them are here mainly to have a nice time and relax.

I have selected some photos from my archive to show you what I see as typical street style around here.


It is really summer now. This means ferias and tourists. During the annual Fería de Málaga in August many women dress up in long dresses and with flowers in the hair.


Locals and tourists a Saturday morning in the historic centre of Málaga.


An accessory most women have around here is a fan. Blue jeans, preferably as tight as possible or, the opposite, very loose turkish style strousers are popular here.

    Wonderful pictures!
    The women in the long skirts look like they should be dancing.
    We have groups of tourists on segways, too.

    I think we should always wear flowers in our hair, trouble is, how do you get it to stay in place? You pin it?
    PS What is that "dangerous" vehicle that requires helmets to ride?!

    i love it !! i loved feria when i lived in spain. one day i will take my husband and children to spain ... need to remember to do it during feria season !!

    Those funny scooters were invented somewhere around here - although I've never seen one. I love love love the long dresses and flowers in the hair - gorgeous!

    Just found a site that explains that the vehicles are called "Segway" and is a self-balancing, personal transportation device. Riders must be 16 years of age and older and under 260lbs ...

    Love the dresses and the flowers....instant summer feeling! Glad though that I don´t have to wear it....I would look like Miss Piggy! ;)
