Gone sailing. See you again in a couple of weeks :)

Friday

It has been raining so much this week in Vienna. Well, I'm pleased that it is raining with water and not ash.

Yesterday, I was supposed to pick up my daughter at the airport, but due to the volcanic eruption in Iceland no flights have left Denmark since late yesterday afternoon.

BUT, in a few hours she will be arriving by train. It is her first time in this city so the weekend will be spent with a lot of sightseeing. So sun, please come out now.

Have a great weekend.

Corner view favorite

This week's corner view is celebrating its first anniversary. Jane from Spain Daily, who is the host, has chosen that we re-post one of our favorite themes. Well, it's at tough one, so I have decided to use the theme of my first corner view post - modes of transportation.

I'm in Vienna now and my preferred mode of transportation here is definitely the tram system. It's cheap, reliable and everywhere.

But head over to Spain Daily. Jane tells what made her start the corner views in the first place. Happy first anniversary.

A day in Gibraltar

I wrote in my post Friday that we didn't get out much while in Málaga. One day was, however, spent in Gibraltar, a couple of hours drive from where we live.

Lazy days ....

The Easter holidays were spent mainly on our terrace in Málaga. Nice and relaxing, and the time just passed too fast ... already back in Vienna. But it is almost weekend now. Enjoy!

Corner view Málaga: Vending machines

I'm late with this week's corner view, vending machines, but I was traveling most of the day yesterday and I have not been so organized as to make this post in advance.

Anyhow, here is my contribution - a parking machine in Fuengirola (Málaga). You buy parking time by half hours and if you have not bought enough and time has expired you are almost certain that there will be a parking ticket waiting for you. Is this the case, then it is not such a big deal, because you can  also pay your fine in this machine. Very practical, I think :)

To see (more) vending machines around the world, visits Jane's Spain Daily.

Minimalism

This is the 8th. time I participate in the flickr group La Vuelta al Mundo's (Around the World) monthly project. March  was all about Minimalism.

So, this time I have been trying to keep it simple and minimal focusing on shapes, colors, empty spaces.
