This weekend ...

It is actually a long weekend as today is Andalusia Day and therefore holiday here.

Artichokes ...

I have not yet convinced myself that I really like artichokes. I think they look very pretty and decorative and they are also supposed to be very healthy so last time I was at the market in Málaga I couldn't resist buying a kilo of them.

In 1080 Recipes I found a recipe that looked very simple:  More or less just peeling them, cooking them and sprinkling with an oil/vinegar dressing. The peeling part takes some practise, I must admit ... but I think I came closer to liking them a bit more :)

In Málaga

Saturday morning ...
before I bought 1 kilo of artichokes, 1 kilo of almonds, half a kilo nuts, half a kilo of olives aloreñas, 5 apples, some dates, and a birthday present. So no more photos from Málaga that day :)

Monday was Valentine's Day

in many corners of the world. I think it was introduced in Denmark with some success in the early nineties by the flower and jewellery shops.

My man gives me flowers and sometimes also jewellery, but NOT on Valentine's Day :)

Last week in Vienna ...

The pictures are some of the few photos I took during last week in Vienna. I didn't take any photos over the weekend. We spent it shopping and packing down our apartment there.

In case you wonder about the building in the first and last photos it is one of Vienna's flak towers, Haus des Meeres, a nine floors zoo and aquarium.

Today I'm back in Málaga :)

Winter warm

The roses in Vienna's Volksgarten are keeping warm during the winter months. It looks a little bizarre, I think.

Sunday walk

to Leopoldsberg. A lot of people had got the same idea, because the weather was wonderful and sunny. Last year in May, in pure Spring, we walked the same route. I actually think these Winter colors are very nice.

Checking out the park

It was sunny and not too cold in Türkenschanzpark, in Vienna's 18th district, yesterday. I think there is basis for some more walks in the weekend. The forecast says sunny :)

Airport sky

No evening sky from me for this week's corner view, but a picture from Málaga airport that I took about a month ago and which I really like :)

I'm off to Vienna today and, if you want, you can see an evening sky as it looked from my apartment there last summer on a stormy Saturday evening. It was really beautiful.
