Winter weekends

The two above shots are from last weekend on a drive in the mountains behind Málaga. The sun was shining down by the coast, but 15-20 min. drive away from the coast we found snow covered fields of olive trees and trucks salting the roads.

Yesterday, there was time for a nice walk in the sunshine in the Botanical Garten of Vienna. Trees, bushes and frozen flowers cast beautiful shadows in the snow.

Happy Sunday.

Stop by HEY HARRIET to see other Sunday Shadow Shots from around the world.

  4. Snowfall makes them groan—
gnarled olive trees too cold to
    shift their ancient bones.
