Some time in May this guy was running, then throwing himself on the bridge doing push ups before he continued running towards Voldene in Copenhagen. Wow, So much energy.

I just look forward to cooler temperatures. This morning it was 30 C when I was out running in Álora.

I have been baking many sourdough breads since I got my starter from Murasaki at Samurai Viking Cuisine. Sometimes we have it for breakfast too with butter and some jam. Yum. Some months ago I showed you pictures of wood. Here are some fresh ones of the thorny kind. Actually, I would have liked to take some photos of the three when it is in bloom, but I missed it this year. These days this one in the centre of Málaga is beautifully green. There is a small sign under the tree with is name and origin. It's a Drunken Tree (Ceiba Insignis).

Oh, and something else. For those of you using Blogger for you blog, you can now choose a mobile template. I think it is so much easier to view/read on a smartphone. Below is a screenshot of my blog as I see it on my smartphone :)

these wild flowers are dominant around my house. The big white ones on the first photo are wild carrots, on the second you see chamomile and on the last one the bee is appproaching the flowers of a retama (I'm not sure what it is called in English.)

Last week I'd ordered some organic fruits and vegetables online. One item was lime (limas in Spanish) and I received these yellow ones you see on the first photo.

As I searched the internet for a recipe for orange marmelade (I had also bought some oranges) I came across this recipe on David Leibovitz' site which made me believe that those limes were bergamot lemons.

I really love twinings earl grey tea because of the bergamot taste, but I never realized that this flavour is of a kind of lemon. So I made lemon marmelade ... . Mine got a lot darker though than on the photos on David Leibovitz' site as I only had dark cane sugar. Those limes were definately of the bergamot type and the taste so good.

The orange marmelade will be for another day:)

I have not yet convinced myself that I really like artichokes. I think they look very pretty and decorative and they are also supposed to be very healthy so last time I was at the market in Málaga I couldn't resist buying a kilo of them.

In 1080 Recipes I found a recipe that looked very simple: More or less just peeling them, cooking them and sprinkling with an oil/vinegar dressing. The peeling part takes some practise, I must admit ... but I think I came closer to liking them a bit more :)

In case you wonder about the building in the first and last photos it is one of Vienna's flak towers, Haus des Meeres, a nine floors zoo and aquarium.

There is this very nice park in the center of Málaga full of tropical plants and trees and only last week I discovered a (hidden) fountain surrounded by these (organic shaped) benches.

I was not happy with the photos of took of the fountain itself to show you, but I found these very nice photos of it with the benches in the background on flickr in case you are curious.

The sunrises and the sunsets are really beautiful these days. The sunrise is taken from my terrace and well, the colors are pink, purple, yellow, orange and I just had to try to see how it looks in black and white. Quite nice, I think. The sunset is taken down by the Carvajal beach looking towards Torreblanca and Fuengirola.

Including today, I have 24 days left of my 365 project (one photo a day). Once in a while it has been necessary to improvise as the other day when I went to Málaga with the purpose of taking some photographs a.o., and realized that I had left the memory card in my pc at home. It was siesta time and no open shops around ... so no photo of the day from Málaga as planned.

The above shots are the result of that day's (evening's) improvisation - pictures taken in my kitchen and the photo of the day, one of the ones of the magazine rack.

I have mentioned before how much I appreciate the public transport system here in Vienna. I really enjoy riding the tram cars.

The above pics are from Matzleinsdorfer Platz tram stop which is subterranean and has fascinated me since the first time I passed by with tram 18 from Westbahnhof to Südbahnhof. It was like stepping 50-60 years back in time. The other day I took the tram again and it looks like there is a lot of restauration work going on. I just had to get off and take some pics. I somehow hope that those cool ceramic walls will be preserved ...

This is also a auf Wiedersehen to Vienna ... I am travelling back to Málaga today ...
